Exhaustion and relief

Posted by VortexSupernova - December 8th, 2020

Hello.. I've been inactive. Not only school-related, but my mental stability as well is on the brink of decay.

so I'm gonna answer @Cyberdevil

Yes, I'm aight... but as of now, my physical and mental health is deteriorating quicker than ever. I'm seeing my ribs and pelvic bone getting more pronounced. I lose mental energy on everything, I sleep at 5:30 am and my classes at 8:00 am. I do not submit requirements on time anymore and it feels so draining. I wanted and need to do something ASAP but I can't. I felt like... I don't like it anymore. I'm tired. For some school projects I did 2 weeks ago, I ended up sleeping at 5:30 am. My body clock is dilapidated since then. I sleep when I shouldn't be (at afternoon). I cannot do the exercise because my physical health ain't doing well.. I should have submitted 5 exercises yesterday, and 2 essays, that I should have submitted few days ago but I can't because I feel so drained. I cannot explain why, I really need to catch up and rest. (Also, my internet is slower. I had DNS errors thrice a week. My ISP went shit after the storm. The typhoon is almost A MONTH ago so they shouldn't have any problems.)

I crawled slowly away from the dark by submitting stuff to my SoundCloud and LMMS sharing platform. (I submitted few hours away from Jordan Kyser, he prob saw me on Discord this day and LSP a week ago) Some presets and songs I did for an hour, but will never be submitted in Newgrounds. But of all the websites, I wouldn't go to DeviantArt. The website itself is a drama island with the uncompetitive site owners.

Within a week, me and my family will move out to the new house. I'll miss the old wooden house I'm currently on as of this typing. My brother can't wait to move out, but I'm really salty. I'm getting the Inside Out Riley vibe I don't like. I won't move out till we get the bill and the ISP finally gets the internet and cable transferred. I would sleep with my siblings and if one is working, the lights can't be turned off... especially I sleep on the top of a double deck bed and the corner light is just at the top of my pillow. And they wouldn't want the lights to be turned off because no one would like to buy a damn lamp.

I made new drawings... that are of course related to school. I can't do personal ones. I did no new songs. (Well I'm saying "new" songs but I upload almost nothing lol). I did two videos, the other is 9 minutes, with animations, and the other one is 21 minutes. I was dead. I had to edit the video's audio in LMMS and Cakewalk because Audacity does not let me edit while the shit is playing and it's time consuming to pause, apply fx then listen.

I'm planning to release an album containing 5 extended mix of Uplifting Anthem trance songs, starting from the one I did in mid 2019. Each is 5 to 8 mins long. I had to restart the mixing and mastering of one song (which sucks because I had to import presets and automations all over again) but at least I had tested a mastering/mixing template of a song, then I also wrote down the loudness values of each songs' each part to ensure consistency in each song. The album songs share the same presets, but they all sound very different and not alike :)

I'm sorry @OrangeFluff for unfriending you, my feed was a mess with "friends are following". The combination was worse with an unstable internet connection. I'm not angry though.

Of all the bad things there are good things. @Nuskoo I really did not expect it... THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the Supporter badge :D This really made my day. I'm happy than ever (T ͜ʖ T)

Thanks for reading.

Please send a short YouTube meme below to cheer me up.

That music and the loaf cat combination is cute! Thanks!

@ear12 @VortexSupernova Alot of welcomes to you.

Wooah damn, sounds like you're just about to walk into a wall there. :/ Sleeping's such an important part of your well-being too, never mind weird times but gotta get some more sleep whenever you do get sleep! Is there maybe some counselor you could talk to about this? Get some more time for your assignments; manage to rest up a little? Though maybe you have Christmas vacation just around the corner now; you might manage some more rest then...?

That doesn't sound healthy at all no... I've always been the type to gain weight when I lead an unhealthy life, but actually losing weight seems worse somehow. Like as long as you gain weight at least your body's working.

LMMS hmm hadn't heard of that one... good to know about. That audio: won't submit to NG because of samples...?

Mmm, leaving memories behind ain't fun, I've fortunately (or not fortunately? However you want to look at it) been moving around most of my life so it just seems somewhat natural to me, whenever it's time for any kind of travel I wake up superalert even if it's in the middle of night, the habit's like instinct. But: we've always had a little cottage here in Sweden we spent time at each summer, so that's memory HQ. Doesn't matter so much where we moved there was always still that, and I've been there ever summer my entire life... so far...

Is that lamp problem at the new place? Memory now?

Positive note on the album there but isn't it even more stressful working with additional projects like that?! Sounds good though. @Nuskoo still giving out badges even when he's not @Olskoo huh, cool to hear. :) And always to worthy recipients!

Not good with memes but maybe: https://youtu.be/hy6oaDzy0-Q

If you have a few minutes maybe you'd enjoy this classic Swedish music video: https://youtu.be/Ropn_kwpFDU

Thanks! (Sorry for late reply... I just came back to the old house to study. I need WiFi and we needed the electricity bill of the new house, that hasnt come yet, in order to transfer the ISP from the old one to new.)

My life looked indeed better at the new house, even without WiFi. I could sleep early here and I am witnessing epic colorful sunsets and sunrise at my personal window. However, whenever i study I need to go to the old house. Yeah, most of the people I see, esp. my sister, brother and mother, unhealthy pathway always lead to gain weight, meanwhile I go underweight xD Good news that I'm eating breakfast there instead of an unhealthy brunch I did before. I gained the habit to eat an egg + pandesal (Filipino bread roll) every breakfast.

LMMS is a potato FL Studio, or whatever DAW, without voice recording features. It is the DAW I'm currently using. (I hope any LMMS user who sees this won't diss me in their Discord server) I couldn't submit my song shitposts since they are not really refined, mix and mastered properly, not likely a license/samples/loop issue.

I think I just have to move on. It ain't fun really, but it is a part of life. No progression if you stay in one place all the time! Also, I'm likely to focus on what I remember in that place when I am not the one staying there anymore. Good thing you have a cottage your fam spends in summer, meanwhile my family travel to different local tourist spots every year or Christmas (not this pandemic tho), but usually visiting extended family relatives, from father side grandparents or as far as matrilineal great grand linage.

I found a way to use my lamp... I just needed a very long electrical extension cord.

And oh, I love those videos! Few years ago I found that Ozzy is already deceased... such a short lifespan of an adorable animal. Ayy that eurodance song is pretty groovy, the MV looks like a Southeast Asian setting, just realized it was set in Malaysia

No problem with the unfriend, I understand the situation :3

here, have a cookie
⭑handing over a cookie

Thanks. *bites*

@Cyberdevil I also forgot to say: I did my requirements, but most of time, turned in late. When I went to the new house in the afternoon in one day, I missed a test lol. Don't know if I could survive this. The album going through is stressing, yeah, but at least it has progress and still going on

Ah complicating consequences of moving, was about to say I've never really had that kind of experience but I just realized I've never actually moved in a time when Internet was really that important... really has been a while hmm! Just fifteen years back the world was such a different place, crazy, I didn't have any real reason to use the Internet at all back then, just explored for fun sometimes...

Sounds like a mostly awesome change then at least. :) Cool. Pandesal huh... looks delicious, like a mix between Bon Matin and Brioche...

potato FL Studio lol. Good to know. You set high bars for yourself even artistically though it seems. .) Probably not a bad thing but hope you still appreciate making things regardless!

Yeah... too true. Feeling the stagnation a brewing over here too; all the more lately when you can't really get out as you usually do. Good reminder/call for motion though. Woah that many generations - how old are those very oldest of your relative elders? Real vacations might sound nice though - most of our summers are spent keeping the place in shape; repairing; farming; stuff. :) Though I do appreciate a more physical life for a change.

Nice.

Whaaat, you actually saw that video I linked to years ago? Yeah it really turned into an international thing. :) Swede filming in Malaysia acting like it's Calcutta. Don't think this stuff would fare so well now, too much stereotyping going on for our currently somewhat (IMHO) excessively politically correct word but: have some good memories with that one. :) Back in the day when everything was just fun...

Do you maybe know about Jinjing the penguin too? Also a nice story.

Do hope you SURVIVE this though!!! :O If there's an risk of not doing so there's bound to be a way, let go some tasks, talk to some people, test some meditation/affirmation/relaxation techniques and such? All the best now!

I had to use the internet for my exams... and few days ago, I'm done with my exams, so I wasn't online for a week ;^^ I barely use the internet for some hobbies because of online classes, unless when I browse social media or play games.

Pandesal (or pan de sal, meaning bread of salt) yeah it looks like Bon Matin and a homemade version of brioche or melonpan without stripes, except that it's smol, elongated, and it's a size of a hand, sometimes it's even smaller and can be used as a mid afternoon snack we call "merienda" ;D

Yes, I still appreciate, even though just a budget, as I am not producing professionally. Ah, LMMS is never a very good DAW, but it was once Splice's list in honorable mention of best free daws and has a straight to the point GUI. Prob. my patience is eternal and I was able to use it for 6 years like parenting a hard headed child, crashing once in every 20 sessions and most of the time the undo does not work xD

Hopefully, I recovered slowly and I'm starting to feel the new house is a home. I thought I'm gonna be salty forever but things seem to settle now. I wake up at 7 am instead of afternoon lol. Good sleeping habits & I also eat thrice a day now. In the generations thing... maybe my mom's grandparents? Last year I met my mom's 11 uncles (my grandpa has 11 siblings, theyre baby boomers). Our concept of vacation is not going to work and we're going to family vacations with exended family members, which is very common in Filipino culture. My mom's grandparents were born in American colonial era, somewhere in 1900-1910. I do not know my fatherside's in 2nd degree since they live in shores of Visayas and I'm at the plains of Central Luzon.

Yeah, I really love collecting videos off my Youtube and orgnize them into playlists. Oh, ikr if you let a Twittertard/Tumblr Social Justice Warrior watch this they will be screaming on the top of their lungs and complaining about human """""""rights""""""" lmao. I heard somehwere else, I don't remember if it's from LayItOmni or SomeOrdinaryGamers, that cultural appropriation is the reason why some cultures are shown to light and recognized or brought to concern. Every thing has it upsides and downsides. I agree, the internet is becoming so much part of us that they try to stop the things that is not even needed to stop. In the future "no copyright music" (which is a misnomer, but actually, "not legally copyrighted but still not public domain" or just "copyleft") will reach mainstream because billionaire record ass labels would DMCA everyone. Also, every film or media has to have an LGBT or literally every race for "representation", or if not, you're "cancelled."

Ah, I love watching Dodo! They also have videos of rescue animals becoming families. I remember that spider doing a hi five and it's so adorable! And the rescue squirrel who couldn't go outside without a leash and harness.

I hope so I would survive till 2nd semester... I came back at the old house just to catch up on what's going on in my class few days after the exam. We still don't have the wifi in the new house. Thanks! I'm trying to relax as much as possible.

Regarding Bon Matin and Brioche btw that's just the closest blend I could think of, seems a lot fluffier/sweeter/probably not really the same at all!

Maybe more like Japanese melon bread.

Either way I gotta try those sometime.

Ah right, isolation times too, we reaaally had nothing like this back when we moved either. :) Hope the exams went well!

Nice. :) Merienda hmm, that sounds satisfying somehow, perfect name for the occasion!

Ouch! XD Reminds me of Flash back in the old days, it used to crash all the time too, sometimes when you'd drawn something really elaborate and crossed a line with the brush the rest of the drawing would just disappear, motion tweens didn't follow the pattern, all kinds of strange bugs going on but... we kept using it too! In a way it's like the flaws made it seem alive. :) A program with personality.

Craaazy how fast you can change up your wake-up routines! :O Great to hear you're getting there. :) Regarding your mom's grandparents, woah, they're already at least 110 years old then?! That's incredible... some people really lead impressively lives... crazy amount of siblings too! The oldest person I've known lived to be 98 I think, my grandma's sister. Interesting vacations too. I'd say my family personally have a pretty unconventional one, most really just relax and do as little as possible, travel places, stay with relatives too, though traveling with extended family probably isn't that common. You're usually always with your nearest.

Nice. :) Hehe, try to stay off Twitter and Tumblr but seems you know more of the culture than I do... is that maybe how you found this place? As less of a social justice warrior haven? That'd make sense yeah, we wouldn't know of all cultures without it, even now. A lot are still stereotyped but with increased migration it seems like that becomes a bigger issue. Countries that are still far away from our radar/of which people haven't made it to our home ground as much though: seems it's not as big a deal to stereotype those. Like North Korea. Feel a bit sorry for how they're portrayed though, when the regime is really not synonymous with the people, but anyway: I don't mind people poking fun at Swedes either if it really is relatable. :) If it feels way off hmm... then I'm not so sure. Feels like some take things way too seriously these days but it's possible I'd take things way too seriously too in certain contexts...

Mmm, it's true. Though I have hope in copyright (or lack thereof) in particular. There's so much Creative Commons work now. A lot of artists are a bit more aware. Even if doesn't become mainstream the underground movement's pretty big; a lot of people listen only to Indie! Feels like maybe there's room for all, and nobody really HAS to join a label and sell out if they don't want to, they can still be famous enough to make a living, just in a different kind of world/venue. Some day maybe the labels will start to crumble.

Regarding the LGBT trend and all though... not sure where that's going. :/ Such a weird world to live in these days sometimes. When you'r praised for abnormalities; minorities are becoming acceptable superiorities; you don't really belong if you're not a part of their fractions. Plus by standing out you get all the more praise and attention. Must be pretty confusing growing up right now. I'm not anti-LGBTQandall per se, just very anti the spotlight. How everyone has to be represented no matter the social consequence, or if they really need to be there. It just gets weird. True equality would be not catering to any individual groups at all really. Just have people most suited for whatever role is relevant without even taking things like this into consideration. IMHO.

Whaaat, a trained spider? What kind of spider was that? Sounds awesome. I think I'd better not go too far down the cute animal rabbithole though, could get lost there indefinitely...

Awesome. :) Hope you manage! Happy Holidays too in a bit! Hopefully you do have some time off soon now? Though possible still way shorter a vacation than we do considering how strenuous the school system seems to be over there.

mhm Yeah I remember using the old version of Flash. I think CS6 is my fave, Animate is soooooooooo CPU hungry, laggy and resource consuming. I'm already using Intel i5!! I'm salty that Adobe yeeted CS6 versions and forced everyone into CC. Anyways, some opensource software I'm using has minimal Windows support because they are really for Linux, so the Win version is eh. (Not talking bout BIG foss like GIMP and Blender.) Especailly, if it has 15 developers, and 5 currently active, which desperately needs active devs and code testers, but is funded properly.

Yeah.. pretty fast. I already fall asleep at 11 pm and the latest is 1 am, meanwhile before that it was 3 am to 5 am. No, my moms grandparents died since beofre I was born, but my oldest sister reached them. They died at more than 90 years old, and some had reached more than 100. (Crazy that globalization, widespread poverty, and destructive urbanization made lifespan to 60~ years old nowadays, thirty years short). Everytime we had reunions we commemorate my mother side granddad's parents. Like, every 2 years. And if one of my granddads siblings had birthdays, the current living ones (the deceased ones their children and gandchildren come) so 50+ people in a big party LOL (no party tis covid season btw)

And oh, I mean mom's uncles AND aunts, my grandparents had sisters too!

Yes it's a culture thing, as opossed to the nuclear family in the US. Filipinos are still in the culture and tradition of close extended family ties, even though that it was slowly dissolving due to heavy westernization of our culture. Even godparents are close.

I quitted Twitter after the certain event that followed BLM. I used to sign up there to follow my favorite DJ's and future song releases... I "don't" know what the hell happened over there xD Ahh, no, I did not find NG because I tried to avoid toxic shit. I played games in NG as a 10 year old kid! I remember it was a shooting game with achievements. I returned in 2014 or 2015 to download Time Machine by Waterflame because the difficult Geometry Dash level based on it needs heavy memorization (I still memorize the whole song lmao). That time, I knew for the first time NG has Audio and Art portal not just games.

Aaand yeah, I was a Humanities and Social Sciences student in Senior High, so I had idea bout those before knowing SJW shit in Tumblr-esque side of Twitter.

I think they should accept that not every literal media existing has to have LGBTQ+ representation. I am not homophobic or transphobic too, I think that, what you said, the most suited role and if they should be really need or not needed to be there -- not just for the sake of representation WITHOUT function. Although, I am not talking bout gay movies and media with diverse characters, you can't remove LGBT in that! But FORCING that topic into things that even they shouldn't be or a media that is originally has only straight characters but is not phobic in anyway... this is why some heteros/cis don't like them, too SJW in nature. "Why this has no gay characters? This is so homophobic!", but the media is not showing hostility towards the gay community. "I think that these 2 grills are close so the writer must make them lesbian or they are homophobic!!11!!"
Not having LBGTQ+ representation = homophobic/transphobic/"gays don't exist"

Yeah, that trained spider: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEMPLrWh35g&ab_channel=TheDodo It's a Phidippus regius, or just a small jumping spider. They're fluffy, smart and passive, showing no hostility unlike tarantulas. VERY likable than pet tarantulas!
I only watch from Dodo, they even have the video of the magellanic penguin you mentioned, so no seeing videos of fake animal rescues.

Ah you've been using Flash too?! Do you have animations lying around somewhere you've been planning to submit? Games? Other gadgets or interactive things...? My favorite one is probably still 8 actually. :) It's the one I use most. I have that as CS6 installed if I collaborate with people on files only compatible with a newer version, but don't really have good enough hardware to run it, takes a long time to load and gets a bit laggy with larger files, so old versions are still a preference in that regard. They definitely did add some useful features, but I like how lightweight the old ones are regardless of hardware benefits. There's just no bloat at all! Super simple both to get into and to use, on basically any OS; any kind of device.

They forced everyone into CC though? You can still use CS6 if you have it can't you, just no more new versions that are entirely offline...? I've tried GIMP and Blender but never really got into them, big fan of Fireworks for most things, it's a bit like Photoshop but with more focus on interface/online design, not so much print, and so much lighter You can really use it for anything though. photo work, vector work, layout work. it's so flexible! Only tool I really miss there is the magnetic lasso.

Unfortunately Adobe decided to focus on Photoshop entirely though a few years back, so you can't get any new versions of it since, but old ones work fine! It's also a program back from the Macromedia days (same company that started Flash). Recently discovered OpenShot for video btw, also an OpenSource alternative, though seems pretty good. Way easier to use than say VirtualDub or AVIDemux, if you've mayhaps been into video editing too? And way lighter than the professional stuff like Final Cut or Adobe Premiere. Anyway, over to the actual response stuff...

Ah what a huge change! Currently falling asleep between 1-2 AM here, hectic pre-Christmas days = a little worse habits, but still, not so bad. Apparently it's possible to really turn it around too huh. :) Ah sorry to hear that. Though good to hear they led long; hopefully somewhat healthy/happy lives too! :) My grandma hit 93 or 94, which to us at least is really more than usual. Hope my parents reach a similar age...

...wait the average life span is just around 60~ over there now? O_O Or you mean it was before...?

Ahh that's nice. And woah that's a big gathering. :) Impressive. Back when my grandma was alive we could maybe be around 20 people there at the same time; celebrating her birthday. She was a bit like a central hub for all our families. There's nobody we all have as strong ties to now, so everybody's a bit more distanced. Tis a shame...

Aha! Alright! :D Good to have that clarified. My grandparents actually had at least 5-6 siblings each btw, way bigger families back in the day here.

Didn't know the term 'nuclear family' before. :) Interesting... I suppose in Swedish culture we're also a bit more nuclear these days. :P Unfortunately as everything's commercialized and capitalized (Westernized, basically) it feels like the value of family diminishes a bit; people focus more on careers than community... but I wish we had more of that. Personally grandparents are all dead now, so I suppose it's natural we don't have as big gatherings anymore, but you notice there's less focus on multiple generations getting together or living together elsewhere too. I like how they have it in Italy. Feels really familiar over there - maybe a bit like you have it. So much focus on family dinners too. Everybody really appreciating the food and the gathering.

Ahh what happened on Twitter? Just a wave of BLM related stuff? I haven't been following that really but does seem like it's been going a bit overboard. :) So you've been playing Geometry Dash too? Cool to know your origins here! I don't really remember how I stumbled in here at this point but I know I stayed for the stats. :) Starting competing to get to the highest ranks of reviewers/posters/etc. Of course enjoyed the content too but that's what really made me join way back when...

Ah interesting.

Well-said. :) Agree totally. it's a very aggressive kind of equality war sometimes, and I feel eventually it'll be tipping the scales of favor away from their fight. People oughta just get tired of all the hostility, no matter what group you feel you belong to, and the injustices they're trying to improve on will unfortunately - at least partially - come back because of it. Hope these things all calm down in time though, when the woke really wake up and realize it's no joke to say stuff and provoke the main bunch too much, poke a serpent to sway stuff and... it might bite. :P

Aww that's awesome. :) Gonna try showing this to some peeps with arachnophobia, wonder how they'll react. :3 Big shame people don't like spiders more! Feels like it's one of those unreasonable fears that just gets passed down from generation to generation. Well maybe not everywhere but: at least in Sweden we don't have any lethal spiders.

They're all really pretty cute once you start looking/interacting a bit.

yeah I studied Flash as a part of my animation minicourse in 10th grade. I only do animations :) I did one for Waterflame - Floating (only in Twitter, posted this in his birthday last Feb 2020, but I privated my account recently because of spambots.) Ah yes the old version, very light weight and no additional features that nobody uses! I remember it was called Macromedia Flash. About the CC, I think there were conditions that forced some content creators to shift CC from CS6? I remember them going berserk in Twitter xD We also had courses for Lightworks, Photoshop and Illustrator. But, we quickly abandoned Lightworks because we built websites in Photoshop and its gonna be strenuous if we had to learn another in Lightworks.

Openshot looks shit to me... I created a 1 hour speedpaint and it takes FOREVER to export in both my new (Intel i5 10th gen) and old (Intel dual Core) PC. I looked thru Task Manager for the movement of GPU's... realized it doesnt have hardware acceleration... what a shame.

Yeah, Christmas is basically a not sleeping days. It's just normal for everyone to keep awake till 2 am xD But in a few days... back to normal, then at New Years Eve, we don't sleep again. Also, combine the unhealthy food with the unhealthy sleep. We eat a lot of roasted pig during celebrations and too much sweets. Regarding the old peeps... Because they ate fods with less preservatives, and they pretty physical too, so, a long life. Yeah, me to... though my mother has heart problems and diabetes, and my 2 siblings too. Yes, its just around 60-70 years. I believe Hong Kong has the highest... higher than the countries with highest rank in Human Development Index.

That was cool... this makes me think about the current generation. Gatherings of 20 is now becoming rarer. I think this has a relation to the number of kids per parents nowadays. Back then, 12 siblings. Now, currently, parents have only 2.

There are many types of families. Extended was common before USA heavily commercialized housing business and lead everyone to be nuclear. This is why Nursing Home for the Aged is very common there, because when their kids marry, they just leave em afloat. It's true everything getting miserably commercialized, in the future we pay oxygen lol. Same as with my country... we have tight family bonds and with neighbors/distant family members as part of my culture, but getting less focused now and it's pretty saddening. My brother watches prank vlogs from a Brit and they live with their grandma, his siblings, sister & her husband & their kids... I think it's not a "Western" thing but an American.

There is more than BLM. They blamed ALL landlords for not helping people who can't pay rent due to covid. They assumed every single landlords, as if theyre the same persons. And many other chaotic things... do NOT go to Mainstream Twitter. I abandoned playing GD after I completed Time Machine... doing a manhunt of good songs in Audio Portal after. :) I returned playing GD this month to watch the cool animations in the Auto levels, I do not really play anymore.

Can't agree more. Do you saw the innocent Animal Crossing player that was yeeted by SJW's and got doxxed because her video game character had a specific hairstyle? "We white people cant have buns as hairstyle if you are not African descent" which is like "You can't wear braids if you do not have a Scandinavian or Scot ancestry"/"Only white people can be blonde". They are destroying racism with racial segregation it's funny. I like wearing braids and >:-( Imma ask a Scandi like you if I could do one ;) It's funny that people saying that are not blacks. or not from Scandinavia -- they are WHITE Americans xD The "woke" people aren't really woke at all. Just sleep walking. I just hope too... these "rights" people go settle down.

Beware... some people get scared too no matter what size and cuteness! I love staring Plexippus peteresi whenever I see them. Hmm I do think wild imagination makes this fear even worse! In my country we have old world tarantulas which are smaller but still scary!

Wooah you've got quite some potentially powerful connects then! :D One of the real NG legends! Nice. Though shame 'bout the lock. The unintentional CC migration wasn't one I'd heard of but good to know,,, you know your Flash history too huh. :P Here I thought you were like a decade younger hmm! Remember splitting websites from Photoshop designs too. :) Which reminds me of: Dreamweaver. One of the other great tools Macromedia played a part in, and I believe that one's still going strong, maybe, hopefully... Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver were my main three back in the day. They complemented each other so well. No need for anything else for anything!

Lightworks - would it be useful if you did learn it fully you think? Just totally unnecessary?

Ah did you try Openshot now just after I mentioned it, or earlier? That is a major downside if so yeah... with a slightly more low-end PC it took me just around two hours to export my recent mixtape though, which personally seems pretty good, way faster than the alternatives I tried before it. Just a cover image and an audio track there though, not sure how much complexity of the embedded material factors in as all formats still export frame by frame but it's bound to be something...

Crazy!!! XD We all stayed up on Christmas Eve till maybe around 1 but that's way late over here. New Year's Eve though: normal then. Way too much sweets here too. XD Mmm, think it was the same with my grandma, though it still has to be at least in part good genes too. But you really are what you eat... ah damn, siblings with diabetes too? Maybe a lot of sweet food in your family? Interesting. Apparently we're up at around 82 years over here, though that's not the average I suppose, must be a little lower: https://ourworldindata.org/life-expectancy

Always known Japan as maybe the country with highest expectancy. Been thinking their seafood diet must be pretty healthy but maybe more things factor in. Still lowest in central Africa...

Yeah that's true. :/ People prioritize careers over family these days, and I feel like we're really not getting happier because of it. Though maybe there's just more pressure overall; people in developed countries at least don't feel like they have the time for family. But that's life is all about really. Wonder where this'll all go in the long run...

I wouldn't be surprised actually. :) A few decades back I don't think people imagined we would be paying for water, but look at us now! Tap water's still clean and free here but people still buy bottled. Or filters. Everything's a business, and the more we exploit the world the less of it you can really consume as is. Too much pollution. Processing required. I've been wondering about all the air conditioners around the world too, creating cool air indoors at the expense of even hotter air outdoors, and the hotter temperatures the more we need to cool...

Maybe not exactly the same trend with nursing homes for the elderly here but: there really are a lot of them. :/ The glimpses you get it doesn't seem like anybody's really happy there either.

Ah yeah in the UK there definitely seems to be more focus on the family, same with a lot of Europe really, Italy, Spain, etc. Maybe not so much the Baltic countries. Would you say the UK is a part of the 'West' too though? :) When we think 'Westernized' were basically just thinking US/Canada. And not so much Canada. For us Westernized and Americanized is basically the same thing. Of course though that term really depends on where you live!

I'll take your word for it. :) Haven't been there in a long time really, but what a shame, maybe it'll go the same way as Tumblr did recently. Nice. :) Never played GD but looks fun!

Noo did not see that! Hehe well sure, I'll give you an official 100% Scandinavian (at least a couple generations back, both parents) free pass on all braids you could possibly want to have right here! :D I don't think we consider them a symbol of our heritage to the point anyone would take offense. XD Plenty of people here actually have buns too though hmmm! When people are just looking for something to comment on they'll find something everywhere though. It's a shame that initially good causes so often just get carried away. Nothing as both dangerous or sad as a good person believing so strongly in that what they're doing is right, no matter how wrong it might be. :/ Hope so!

Mmm, I have a nephew who's reaaaally creeped out by spiders. Will let you know how that goes. :) I do have pretty wild imagination too though... really wonder why this fear takes root in some people more than others. Might simply be how you're raised. My mom's not particularly scared of spiders but my nephew's mom definitely is... then again my mom really doesn't like snakes and I almost file like they could be my spirit animal. Fortunately no lethal snakes in Sweden though. It feels like it'd be reasonable with these fears if they were, and I guess in part maybe that's why so many still have them. It's in our genes. (ah characters ran out, just a moment...)

Hmm not a really close connection tho ;^^ We never talked, aside from giving him some meme as he asked on his Twitter post and I got a follow (bruh....), comments like "goodluck!", "Great news.." some conversation bout content creating etc etc... Actually we're pretty much more interactive, and deeper convos. Anyways... that seems normal for Adobe on its obsession over $$$, even implementing cancellation fees lol. I'm somewhere 16-21 years old :D Oh yes, I forgot what that was called, thanks for reminding me, that was Website Splitting!

I think it would be? Honestly we just got into the introduction and explored the GUI and nothig else since the teacher decided to focus on Photoshop. If it is a lot less "no bells and whistles" than PS I think it would greatly benefit, since older programs are more lightweight and crashes a lot less.

I tried it a year ago. It was exhausting to monitor lol, it exports my speedpaints that were 3 mins long for 12 hours, since the frames of a 1 hour video (that is 10 fps) compresses. As a result, I'm just using the shitty Video Editor of Windows 10 (takes less than 10 mins to export) and a cracked Filmora my classmate installed when she borrowed my lappy for a class project.

Some people are still singing in Karaoke till 2 so yeah it's normal xD Ah, my siblings have high blood and cholesterol, so at the age of 20-30 years theyre already take maintaining meds. No diabetes, luckily, just my mom. It's in the genes of my mom, my dad though, no heart disease and diabetes, but severe allergies xD I thought it was 60, at least it's actually 71 years now in my country :O I got the data from UN that my professor provided us (it included many years since early 90's and how the life expectany increased), I thought it was Japan was highest, but Hong Kong beat it by some decimals! Their clean air, facilities, education rocks so no doubt Japan leads. Surprised than none of the Scandinavian countries and Western Europe are richest: it was Qatar, a gulf corp. country in Middle East. Oil probably ;) We did a study too why central Africa was lowest.

I think people are craving for independence and more control over themselves, since if they still live with 'rents, the mom or dad may likely to control wtf is going to be in their child's life. Some parents don't agree with their kids career (Asian stereotype, but it's true tho). People are tired of that shit so the kids flee once they find them annoying. Increased number of dysfunctional families may also be the case. But,,, depends on culture and their definition of companion and happiness. Mmmm wondering, too. Worst case scenario is like in Japan where rich office workers hire a family to celebrate with, which is imo, saddening.

Commercializing everything is partially bad, but to the point of exploiting it, is I think, not very good. And yes, that its processing requires coal and gas emissions. Few decades ago they banned CFC, so the Air Cons and Refrigerators don't harm the ozone layer much anymore.

We have elderly homes here too, we visited one for our community service. Actually that isn't avoidable. The varying families and the trends of cultures that would keep them alone later in life would or might increase their population. To some people, this is their happiness (my grandma wants to stay at the elderly homes later in her life), to some, it isn't, and to some, is simply the end of their journey.

I just noticed that too, that some European countries, esp. Italy, they have closer contact with family, but I thought much less with the "Richer" ones like Nordic countries? I remember that you told me about your grandma's celebrations earlier. :) I think "Westernized" and "Americanized" are different things. IMO "Americanized" is the dystopian/neoliberal "Westernized": unregulated, capitalized healthcare and housing system but "is" a first world country xD

Oh, you have Chilean ancestry? :O

It will, sadly. I don't like to go there anymore. I miss the videogame, Newgrounds artists, concept art and animations. My Timeline is filled with more useless shit than that. Also, about the Twitter stans who fantasize about their Twitter idols... CREEPY. No, don't play GD if you hate: flashing lights, rage quit, playing same ass level for the last hour because you restart when you die. Actually, nothing is fun after the level that was named Clusterfuck (then just find good online levels)

Thank you! (*/ω\*) I could get some bullets against those SJW's. I agree with the latter statements!

I hope that goes well! xD Jumping spiders are pretty elusive sometimes and only bite when needed. I hate snakes too, even the non venomous ones. Sometimes we have King Cobra (very poisonous and lethal) lurking especially I live in a province full of fields, trees and grasslands.
Pink spiders exist in Chile, I did a research of what you describe and it was called "Chilean rose hair tarantula", though I don't know if this is the one youre actually saying. Some of them are pink and some are brown.

...plenty people dying of bites in the past to incur on us the necessary survival-relevant responses!

Ah those old world tarantulas look awesome too. :D Maybe not directly 'cute' but...

Reminds me, when we lived in Chile we occasionally had these pink tarantula-sized spiders occasionally fall into our pool; used to pick them up and carry them over the fence with a net. Might be a part of what took away my fear of spiders if I had some innate at the time. They just seemed so clumsy and harmless, big or no. We just called them bird spiders, but trying to find an image now I can't find any that are really pink... not sure what species they were or if my memory's really playing tricks on me now regarding the color...

Ah you got a FOLLOW?! That's more than enough. :D TomFulp on NG, Waterflame on Twitter, you got some legends on leash there... ah nice, five year margin of age-related correctness, though at least a decade in difference then. :D FYI the term's also used on the business side of things: splitting, merging, flipping, turning... always confusing moving between fields with the same terminologies. :)

Mmm, might be interesting to try sometime then! :) Good to know. Personally big fan of lightweight over bloated, even if that means I'm usually missing some pretty handy features. Like that magnetic lassooo...

Woooah, that's CRAZY! :O No chance you might have accidentally picked the most compression-heavy codec they have? It really shouldn't take that long! I'm on just a regular two-core computer myself right now, and as mentioned an hour long file just took a few hours. Went with 1080p I think, not so important with the size ratio when it's mainly audio. Nut ah, compressing a longer video, indeed haven't needed to try that... good to know. Same export time both with Filmora and the built-in one there?

Ah that explains the musical vein, part of the culture over there! :D Sounds nice regarding the karaoke; real shame regarding your siblings on medication already... we try to get a lot of garlic in our family to keep blood pressure down. Mainly for my parents. They're still not taking any meds at all, closing in on 80 y/o now, so far healthy diet seems to go a long way. :) Ooh allergies too! What kinds? Used to be allergic to fur when I was little, managed to get rid of that. Hmm interesting. On the flipside Japan have really high suicide rates though - people pretty much working themselves to death there. :/ I wonder if the statistics will change with the newer generations, maybe life expectancy's not as high now as it used to be... anyway cool to see it's a bit better in the Philipines! If those stats I linked to are reliable.

Regarding sources I think Scandinavia would be a bit better off we were still progressing, but the last few decades the social order's just getting worse and worse. A tenth of the population's immigrants here, we have some internal conflicts between groups, people don't really trust the government/the government doesn't have much power, it feels like everything is just slowly falling apart... we don't have the resources to sustain everyone, or a social unity that lets us really work together to build a good community, yet we have to keep up a good 'image' so we're constantly handing out aid to other countries; getting involved with external affairs even though IMO the thing we really need to focus on is sorting things out on home turf. Feels like most politicians just play a game over here; most people have been softened by all too long a time of really having it pretty good; not having to work hard for anything; losing sense of what's important and what we're supposed to be working towards.

Hmm, rant mode enabled. XD Sorry 'bout that. I'm really not happy with the current government, but hopefully it'll get so bad eventually that we can really bond together and start to improve things again... all that ranting aside it's really still a nice place overall. Still lots of nature, so in a way that's like a built-in reserve in regard to resources/riches that otherwise lenient social order can't so easily take away. Though they do their best to exploit that too.

Had a short vacation in Qatar actually. :) Beautiful country. I wonder if the maybe make a considerable amount on tourism too, considering it's a more 'open' country than the ones they're surrounded with. A lot of people from the surrounding countries tourist there to live a bit more freely. But yes, oil too probably. :) Regarding central Africa, do you have any TLDR version on why they have the lowest? Corruption, disease, famine, colonial abuse; a lack of connections with the outer world? Maybe it goes even deeper...?

Mmm, that's true. Definitely a lot like that over here. Yet in part I feel like this trend creates a society with less patience and understanding overall. Relations are all about a certain level of compromise after all. It's good to be independent, but it's good too really care for the family; to have a bond that just grows stronger the harder it is to keep... somewhat. Of course there are plenty of abusive parents too. Don't want to force anyone to stay at home, I just feel like these days a lot of people escape their problems instead of dealing with them, and it really all starts with the family. And damn I forgot about that rent-a-family thing in Japan. :/ Watched some documentary on people marrying dolls too, feels like something done gone a bit too far over there somehow... I mean if they really do love their dolls then props to them but: doesn't really feel like that could ever be true love, and the whole family thing and natural selection and attraction and all...

Characters running out again, one moment...

Yeah I did get a follow, but since I don't use my Twitter anymore, so, just eh. Ah, I've followed a buncha people there like concept artists and the people who worked on Disney/DreamWorks and storyboarders as well. I don' wanna say my age because I know this is an adult website where kids join and without asking 'rents permissions [I DID NOT KNOW THAT UNDER 18'S HAVE TO ASK PARENT PERISSION TO JOIN LMAOOOO], and if I told anyone I was "14 | Female" I do not think that is going to end in a long run (I'm not 14 by the way lol) Oh, so that term was a jargon of multiple things? xD

Haha... magnetic lasso is actually a life saver, decreased my selection work from 20 mins to 5.

They have that version??? Heavy codec? I can't remember which button I've downloaded over there, I thought it's just "for mac" "for windows" "for Linux distros yada yada" I tried exporting a 1 min video on a 100x100 resolution with just a static frame as a joke and it took like 30 mins. Yeah, both Filmora and the built in Windows editor took less than 15-10 mins, though, in the Windows the Intel GPU goes berserk, no way to put it in NVIDIA.

Oh yes, actually a karaoke with a video where the lyrics are displayed. Usually in birthday celebrations and party with some drunk men singing 60's to 80's hits, sometimes ABBA and Aerosmith/Journey stuff. Rarely, a FUNeral, and I'm not joking. OOOhhh ur parents 80 years old? Man that's old lol. Are you the youngest? Wishing them a longer life! My grandads are 75-80. Hopefully my fatherside granddad stopped smoking, but my motherside granddad just want to end his kidneys :( (creatinine stuff) You guys must be a healthy living life... I think our cuisine here makes our life shorter xD Too much pork and delicious, tasty stuff. Many people dying of cardiac arrest. Habit of going to the malls to eat trash food like McDo and oily fast foods. I really hope my brother and sister stops eating shit... my brother's fatty liver and "40 year old dad tummy", and my sister stopped her maintenance and does not go to the cardiologist anymore D: Real shame indeed. I was allergic to crustaceans, dust and strong scents, luckily, no spring season here, but cogon weeds and tall grass in their pollinating season that guarantees doctor visit xD I can now eat seafoods and get sneeze from breathing dust w/o going to pediatrician. And Japan, same with South Korea... the sexist culture there makes it worse (Kpop stars distributing revenge porn, sadly, and the saesangs [kpop version of Twitter stan]) Tbh I'm not looking forward to our future life expectancy, as long as nature is being exploited even worse and resources running out.. making more artificial processes. Things are a bit going better here in my country, though, very slow progress, corruption is ingrained in the history and making laws against it is pointless since people who make laws are crooked people themselves. So pointless... and the "anti political dynasty law" is stupid because political dynasty's here since before Spaniards arrived in 1500. Can't remove something running in the blood for hundreds of years! The national offices are circuses and the politicians are clowns, and us citizens are audiences witnessing the most stupid bullshit happening in our country hahaha

Mmm getting worse? Oh, thanks for telling me... not every "first world"/developed countries seem to have a ""perfect"" government and society relationship, even though the social services offered are good, like good healthcare. By the way, just saw some editorial cartoon of EU as a sinking ship and Sweden was committing suicide, although I dunno what is happening really. Nice to see in your perspective. So it has the "easy money" by just working a little, and forgetting important aspects. Meanwhile in Philippines, some people work 12 hours a day, and if nothing was earned within the day, hyperbolically that is a death sentence. No money, no food to feed the children. But, because of lack of material things, they value intangible ones like... they are sacrificing for their siblings, kids, understanding their situation... This is why, it's impossible to have a Filipino family who doesn't have a relative that does not work abroad. They do this to send money of other currencies because of big exchange rates or to make their siblings finish college. Not to flex that (actually it's bad that this had been overly romanticized) but just sharing what was happening here, and the working abroad is misinterpreted as "brain drain", it's a cultural and psychological thing.
What is the same here is that law makers play a game... but worse. And with narcotics and hitmen. yike

Ohh my upper class classmate lived in Qatar from preschool to senior, he was like,,, "why is Philippines like this? The shawarmas here are shit and the drainages smells awful" lol. Growing up on a rich country and going back to your hometown would get a conflicting experience. Qatar is a good country in terms of money & other things, I've heard from his experiences. Regarding Central Africa, yes you're correct with the colonial abuse and corruption. The arid landscape makes farming very bad, that's why they import food. They can't connect with the outside world very much because they don't have money in the first place. Belgium had good amount of raw resources and has iconic chocolates because Congolese people were forced to work in cocoa and sugar cane farms, and if they did not meet the quota, the Belgians would kill them AND their family, hang them, cut the Congolese childrens hands and feet, and knowing Belgium has a kind of chocolate that's shaped like hands and feet of children makes this historically terrifying. Philippines suffer in the same fate as some of these countries, suffering colonial trauma and its aftermaths like racism against aborigines and corruption. Same with some South American countries. Imperialism is NEVER a true benefit to the whole world, many people thought it was good because it had brought the religion they valued (e.g. Christianity) I agree that Europe's success came from their bitter treatment to their outside world, treating them as ownership and objects... and when your success came from stepping people who you don't know and would change their history forever, knowing this if you're never immersed to that world and seeing "it's because of you" would be saddening (if that someone has feelings or empathy ;P )

Ah, Chlorofluorocarbon, over here we know that mainly as Freon. Might have an old fridge with that at our summer place... the thing about CFC (or Freon in particular, if other types work differently) is that it's not actually dangerous to the atmosphere until it leaks out. Been wondering how well we took care of all old fridges that were thrown away during the time, to get rid of all CFC - could they really recycle the gas? How much of it didn't just float up into the atmosphere BECAUSE we banned it and everybody drove out to dump their old fridges? It seems possibly a bit like how many people grew sick just from sanitizing houses of asbestos after people were made aware of the dangers in that, when really it doesn't deteriorate at all when it's left untouched.

But on the topic of Freon: did you know the guys who invented it are the same ones behind Nylon, Teflon, Kevlar, Agent Orange, and sooo many chemical substance that have been leaching into our world the last century or so? DuPont. They've indirectly killed so many people yet still keep going; innovating; creating new things that might be deemed potentially disastrous down the line yet of course currently don't have any known side-effects. The first version of Teflon was a huge scandal too but it's barely had any news coverage at all herer. I wonder how some company executives manage to sleep at night; how do you ever get involved in such a business...

Regarding those coal and gas emissions: did you know that with electric cars now we're emitting more than ever? Hopefully it'll change in time but the carbon dioxide emissions you get from electric cars are way higher than what you get from regular petrol-driven ones (that electricity still has be to be producced somehow), add to that dirty battery production, and how much environmental impact you get with any newly produced car, whereas old ones - apart from already having been built with generally more sustainable materials - after they stopped using for example asbestos brake pads - can run on for years without notable consequence. With truly renewable energy maybe this'll all change, but these days it seems like 'green' has been the new form of exploitation. They've commercialized environmental gain, and are really just making money off of our naivete. People driving around in brand new hybrids thinking they're helping the environment over here...

Ah there are people who really want to stay there too... on the bright side maybe elderly homes over there aren't so bad? :) Sounds somewhat hopeful. Indeed, people seem to see those places with different eyes, it's just a shame when someone doesn't really have a choice; has to spend their final days in a place that sometimes seems to really derive of any innate rights and freedoms they used to have; drains them of energy no less. I'm probably coming across way to cynical here though. XD Surely there are some great elderly homes out there too!!! In an ideal world there'd be no reason not to want to live in one. Just gather together with people your own age; relax; have a good time... just hear too many reports on poor treatment over here.

Mmm, it might be that Scandinavia is still a bit of an exception. Maybe the cold winters bring us together a bit more. :) But I know most families probably aren't like mine. Everybody doesn't stay together as much. Your earlier comment on teens just wanting to flee their parents and lead their own lives: same here. There's a lot of that. But regarding the 'richer' ones, maybe it's simply that we're not as rich as you imagine? Getting your own place to live is difficult these days. A lot of kids can't move out when they graduate even if they want to; I guess there's a large part who gather together by necessity now. The income gap's pretty big. It's really a pretty divided society, and so probably also a split approach on that distancing trend. Ahh so basically 'Americanized' is 'Westernized' gone wrong. XD lmao... you've got a point! Seems like at one in point in time they WERE the same, then, but not so much anymore? :) They even tried to get healthcare for all there recently, supposedly emulating our currently not-very-well-working welfare system, interesting how things are shifting in the world...

Ah no, just lived there a couple years. :) My dad worked at Ericsson when I grew up (retired since maybe a decade back now) and we moved around a bit due to his work. Grew up in a looking back pretty enviously open world! :) At the time of that Qatar vacation earlier on we lived in Saudi Arabia.

But I actually do have a Chilean cousin come to think of it...

Hmm maybe you could follow some different people on Twitter though? :) Most NG artists seem to be there too after all... or yeah, just avoid completely. Personally I just don't feel like I have time for other social communities. NG's become home. So reaaally hope it doesn't ever turn that same way now... lmao! XD No good GD experiences?! I thought users made their own levels though? Is there a more official set/popular selection everyone goes with?

Oh wow, characters running out ag

<separate because ran out of characters lol>

Yeah, the reason why people stay in families and relationships is because of compromise and "give & take". Sometimes, if there is no more advantage, the person just goes away... they did not stay because of love. Some want a quicky remedy like escaping problems, as you said, instead of a peaceful and intimate talk. Deciding while being emotional is not a good idea...
Well no doubt Japan is weird, both in good and bad ways.

Freon? Oh, the "Colgate" of "Toothpaste" (We also call them Freon instead of the long ass chemical name, and as we call "Xerox" to any photocopy machine that is even not Xerox) Anyways back to the topic, dipose is always the issue... we just put em in a place called "bodega", cellar or stock room in Spanish. Or sell the parts to a junk shop, and I don't know what they do to the gas tank though... Oh I remember the asbestos, good thing they have banned it a long time ago, also with the dangerous lead pipes. Ah, did not know that! "They" innovated many things, and the agent orange, hasnt that been killing farmers aside from Vietnamese soldiers? I honestly like Nylon, I use it in the strings of my mandolin I had at 5th grade, but it seems terrible to nature because it's synthetic. Executives are soulless people, they sleep properly at night ;) Business as usual.

I think electric car + coal-powered electricity combo is terrible, and creates a vicious cycle of CO2. Would be good imo if its electricity is from renewable resources like windmills, solar or geothermal :\ Solar panels are expensive so yep green is heavily capitalized. That just restricts going green XD

Well... yes not all of them are so bad. Saw a documentary in my country where the old people are just hanging out together, playing cards and sitting on a rocking chair outside. Hmm I agree. Sad that some people are there because it's their fault, heard a story bout an old man at the nursing home my school visited. He was left by his own family because he cheated. He regrets everything and just wanted his family to forgive and wanted to see his kids before he dies. Well... abuses in nursing homes is expected, just like how orphanages and Child Protection something in US the kids are sexually abused and even trafficked.

I've seen some Scandinavian content creators talking about their apartment so that makes sense hmm... Maybe "rich" in a sense that you guys can afford something easily even the smallest things? Full suite Adobe subscriptions? Full package FL Studio and Ableton Live? xD Which is super expensive in my country. Maybe this is how I said rich.. I could be "rich" too in a sense that my family bought a car and built a new house, even it's a loan, and we eat thrice a day, can go to the malls, have gadgets and so on. In fact that's only some average middle class. I remember in my school lesson that "every" Norwegian is basically a millionaire so that's their definition of what's normal. Everyone there owns Tesla cars. Mmm I agree in the later statement once again regarding why people can't move out easily. The terms Westernized and Americanized were probably once the same, until the beginning of the 2nd industrial period.

Ohh so you were going around the world because of your parents job? :O reminds me of my classmate who is a pure Filipino, but his birthplace is South Africa, spent childhood in Holland and France, lived in U.S. and to U.k. because his father is an employee of Department of Foreign Affairs. You have a Chilean cousin, too? You must be Mr. Worldwide xD jk

Hahaha I'm just kidding xD Maybe stray bullets HAHAHAH but wishing someone to death is bad too!

Cute snek vide? I haven't found any of them yet... This looks funny but still idk https://i.pinimg.com/originals/dd/f1/7d/ddf17d254cffbd23436f80a9e7201e3b.jpg
Maybe there are serums in the hospital, haven't heard someone getting bitten. Bites are pretty much common in remote areas like mountains, though people are likely to die from malaria. Tall grasses are also dangerous but nobody goes there aside from communist rebels and farmers, sadly the clear pathways along tall grass may also have snakes camouflaging. Haven't heard of shaking your shoes, was it because the snake goes inside? Our shoes are pretty smaller because of our smaller feet. Big reticulated pythons and rat snakes are more common in sight than cobras in my province by the way.

Did you say something about GD? Can't remember and see which paragraph was that.. ah found it. Yes they made their own levels, but if you arent skilled, you're gonna end up very frustrated! I don't like some levels where you don't know where the spike is and the visuals are super confusing. Newer levels require more processing power and the lags, even at Low Detailed Mode (LDM) not pretty much fun anymore. Since 2017 I haven't completed Clusterfuck and skipped to Electroman/Theory of Everything. I can't complete the later official levels except Fingerbang.

...ain. :P Just a little more now...

Hey no need to start committing violent crimes just for that. XD I'm sure they'll come to their senses eventually!

Sounds like I need to send you some cute snake videos sometime and maybe change that. :P That's crazy though, so crazy venomous... do you know anyone who's been bitten? Do you have serum at home just in case? Is there even a serum for those kind of bites...? I guess you have some additional outdoor routines over there like: not just going out in tall grass, and shaking your shoes before you put them on?

Oh you found it! Nice. It seems probable that was it, though it really seems so much pinker in my memory... but maybe Google images don't do them all justice either. Size-wise at least: seems about right. :)

Aaand sorry for this long-ass message now! Ran on a bit more than I expected...

Btw regarding Central Africa I didn't mean to make it sound like the elements I mentioned weren't 'enough', it's really an unfortunate set of circumstances they deal with over there. Feels like to a large extent the colonization had an impact on that too, and maybe bred a certain culture of corruption because of it, where it's deemed acceptable or desirable just to run over the population. Cause that's what we (we as in Europeans) did back in the day, and still we prosper...

Hopefully things calm down there too in time. Just curious if there's some element to it all that I don't know about.

Regarding Freon too, forgot to mention it's just banned for use in new production here. Still OK to keep old items with the gas contained. Freon is supposedly harmless for humans too, bad only for the ozone. I suppose they might have realized that just throwing everything away at once maybe did more harm than good. Might be wise to do so gradually as to not impact the ozone layer too much all at once. At least it'd make sense to me if that was the reasoning. Ozone layer actually seems to be healing too, some positive environmental change going on there at least...

Not so positive in regards to current Teflon disposal. ;) No chance that'll just float away and just cause a little harm on the way out...

Heey drifted away from this a bit earlier, sorry!

Whaaat you have to ask for permission up till you hit 18?! XD I never asked back in the day, my parents have never been much on the Internet, they're just not that generation. Makes sense now that you mention it but... I really haven't thought about the general underage age limit before either. 13's actually pretty low. It's the same here (as in on NG) as everywhere I suppose, though it might not have been as clear back in the day, everything's become so much more legislated/strict, suppose enough site owners have been sued that they've started taking these things seriously. I think you mentioned your age a while back hmm, a few years more right? :) Totally OK at least for NG!

Oh and regarding the follow, it's easy to follow interesting people but for an interesting person to actually follow BACK... that is a pretty cool thing! :D Even TomFulp after that!! Aaaaa!!!

Yeah when you need the magnetic lasso you REALLY need the magnetic lasso. XD Agreed. I might actually be avoiding work that involves selecting things when I don't have that tool, come to think of it... the magic wand works well for a lot of things though. If you just need to remove a background or similar. Not as useful with more advanced things where you work with particular portions.

Ah I mean when you export, you get the option to choose which codec to use, and some are way heavier than others. I don't remember the selection right now, but for example the different versions of HEVC use more and more hardware with each. The better they get the smaller filesize you can get without additional quality loss but: a lot of that comes down to compression. Requires a bit better hardware just to play the newest codecs, but where it's most notable is when you export something in the first place. I just went with the default though. Maybe H.264. If you didn't intentionally choose anything there maybe that's not it after all, they shouldn't use the heaviest by default. Hopefully...

Woooah 1 minute video at 100x100 taking that long is craaazy. O_O Then again maybe this really is a codec/setting thing after all... but if you have better alternatives never mind that. Maybe it's just badly designed for the particular hardware you're using.

NVIDIA? Do they have a program themselves? A format? This getting confusing. XD Hope we're talking about the same things...

That still sounds fun though. XD And hey a little Swedish music too! Funerals too woah, sounds crazy at first, but I guess funerals usually do have a little festivity after it too. I remember my grandmas earlier, the actual event was so sad but everything lightened up with the different after it. Felt like you could really let go a bit. Doesn't feel like a bad thing after all! Some people probably wouldn't want to be mourned so much either, more so celebrated. :) What better occasion!

Yupp. XD Yeah I'm the youngest. Sister's 42, brother's 49 soon... grandads younger than my parents, feeling old! XD But thank you. Hope they live a long and strong life too. :) His kidneys though, if you just let them rest a while they should be able to recoup. Hope he drinks a lot of water? It's such an easy way to help the body if not, other drinks of course have their own various effect on the kidneys, need just clean water to actually continually flush toxins out without adding in new ones. But maybe it's a more serious issue, some kind of disease creating all that creatinine...? Mmm, afternoon tea's a heavy tradition over here but apart from that we probably do. :) We're pescatarians too, so no meat. I guess we eat a bit of a mixture between traditional Scandinavian cousine/Mediterranean/vegetarian. Try to eat good but of course not always. Lots of snacks. No fast food though! Can't remember the last time I had some actually, maybe 2019...

Ahh hope they start taking care of themselves too. Even if a positive mindset seems to move mountains as ell. Read about this guy who ate hamburgers for breakfast lunch and dinner and was in great shape too. :) But that's gotta be genetic. Anyway good to know the allergies are just seasonal at least... mostly! Crustaceans, does that mean you can't eat seafood (oh wait you answered that, never mind)? How about going to the beach? Strong scents: problems with perfumes and similar? That must get a bit problematic sometimes if so. What kind of reactions did you get btw, just stuffy nose? More serious?

A search for 'saesangs' and the first result is '13 Extremely Disturbing Stories Of Sasaeng Fans'. XD Doesn't seem promising hmm... revenge porn too huh, not what I was thinking of but that surely does play a role too... yeah I'm not so hopeful about life expectancy getting better either the way we treat the world, but possibly in certain countries/groups. Those who can afford artificial aid. Otherwise the future really seems kinda dystopian already. I think corruption's a problem here too but people don't acknowledge it/believe it. We're still so naive. At least trust in politicians is probably... wait characters running out here again...

It;s alright no problem! xD I understood that if you don't reply, maybe you don't want anymore and it's aight, I'm not that demanding of a person ;P this took me 2 hours to write as I was recaping the whole convo. my memory's weak ass haha/ It seems like a pen pal convo but on a status update. lol.
so, where am I... oh the age requirement in NG

Actually.. I was like, wHAT? that you have to ask for permission? Well, b4 I was downloading Waterflame songs he hosted on his NG account while Foreverbound has to host it in Mediafire because of Newgrounds' "questionable" content. I did not understood FB till I accidently clicked "Pico Plays A Game", which is rated M, when I was downloading Electroman Adventures (the movie uses that song). That was on a family PC and had to delete web history in that day only so it isnt obvious lol. Growing up with Christian parents and they seeing this I'd be disowned hahah

Hmm, I might look into it. I actually use the H.264 bc it was default. Though I have seen HVEC. We never tackled file formats and codecs when we did animation so I really suck at knowing this.. I use an Intel i5 with hardware acceleration so it shouldnt be a problem, but dunno why it takes so long. I own Filmora w/c can use NVIDIA as accelerator too, which doesnt have a problem. NVIDIA GeForce is a GPU: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce Only Openshot having this slow ass export RIP

Oh.. nice to know about that ur fam, not stalking you thou xD thats good to know! My grandpas kidney not doing well bc he old. Creatinine in urine determines kidney function. Whoah, fastfood at 2019?! Damn we cant last a month without even a small McDo fries! Even right now we eat fish, prices are SO BAD on pork. Hmm might be a good factor y ur life expectncy is longer. I hope so that my siblings would take care, it pays BADLY in the end. I still eat seafood, it DEPENDS on how it was cooked and sanitized. The rawer and unclean is the crustacean, the worse it is. I remember having hives on some crabs and thicc lips. I have asthma and skin allergy but it was like more than 10 years ago, I should be good, but perfumes still bad.

Saesangs are like this xD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOMhN-hfMtY idk why Twitter peeps call themselves stan its creepy tbh

...at an all time low right now, it's just one scandal after the other, haven't had any good ones since before I was born at least. You know what, it seems like our countries might not be so different after all. XD Wonder if it's really the same all over the world right now. Things still seem a bit better in Switzerland though...

Mmm our healthcare, I don't know about that... last time I had to get a check-up for something there was a three month waiting time. Ended up trying alternative remedies and managed to fix things myself. :P It might seem good in theory but it's so crazy overloaded, and doctors don't seem that competent, when this corona thing started for example they were given directives to give old people in particular morphine in case they had trouble breathing, which ended up causing hundreds to die, because morphine actually reduces the body's ability to absorb oxygen. And we all know using respirators in the first place can be dangerous too, as it both reduces our natural capacity to breath but strains the lungs when they're most vulnerable. Better with nebulisers to loosen up phlegm, as Israel were using from the start.

I feel like this first world country thing is a bit of a facade at this point, though maybe I'm being naive, you guys surely do have it worse than we do but maybe worse than I imagine. I've never had to resort to SSI or similar but at least we do have such a system in place. It's just abused to the point not everyone is given any; the ones who get aid aren't always the ones who need it most. Random example: pensioners were recently given a small increase on 60 USD/month, though this only applied to everyone with a pension over 1400 USD/month, those with less didn't get anything at all, when some have so little income they spend their days as beggars and barely have enough to eat. Everything goes to rent. You can't survive in the winter here if you don't have a roof over your head, so that's the priority, and if you have a roof over your head it suddenly seems like it's not so bad after all. That's the kind of injustices we have over here right now. And immigrants who haven't even spent a working year here - never paid any taxes - are given more right off the boat. The ones who have little get less and the ones who actually live pretty decently are taken care of. I can't see how this can keep working in the long run.

Regarding the sinking ship thing I'm not sure exactly what that's in reference too either but: may be legit. :) I'm not a fan of the EU either. We give more than we get back there. Going by population, we're contributing the most per capita of any one country in the union, maybe the boat was some reference to that.

Ah that doesn't seem good either. :/ Do you always have some relative(s) working aboard, sending back money? I really can't complain yeah. Though rant: for sure. XD I guess if things get worse here they'll be getting even worse over there at the same time, so maybe we'll remain a first world country regardless, just with fluctuating levels of hardship that balance fluctuating levels elsewhere...

Oh narcotics and hitmen? O_O Do you have something similar to the cartels in Colombia/similar...?

lmao. XD Has your upper class classmate from Qatar settled in since? Did not know about the dark side to Belgium chocolates, holy shit, or that they actually import food in Africa - I thought they more so exported to the point they had little left for themselves... definitely tough land to farm though. Mmm, too true. Regarding Christianity I'm surprised it's managed to spread so much. It may have some good foundations but all those crusades, so much violence in the name of religion... it's almost like entire nations have had Stockholm syndrome through the ages, where they somehow grow to adopt the practices of their conquerors. Like maybe most recently most notable when the US dropped those two nukes on Japan, and since then their society's been incredibly Americanized. It's a little baffling. You'd think there'd be way more resentment, but maybe there still is and it just doesn't come across in the rest of the world; it'd be different if I visit... though maybe it's in our genes also to idolize the strong. The ones with power. And that's why this hierarchy just doesn't disappear. Anyway regarding the colonialism it really did go deeper huh! Interesting to know.

To some extent I suppose guilt over those past deeds is one of the reasons we let in so many immigrants now. :) Though that's not stopping any wars; that's not solving problems in the rest of the world. You'd wish the people who had more resources than they know what to do with; don't need to focus on just getting by would attempt to do something about this, but it seems there's rarely a benevolent person in a high place. Wonder if the riches change them or if that's just the kind of person you have to be to ever become that rich. Ruthless.

Ah dang the characters be running out again, one moment...

Oh, same, not even looking forward in the future. Have you heard that middle class is disappearing, and unions are becoming rarer, I dont think its gonna end well. Hm, thanks for telling me regading the situation in ur country. There are also inequalities and slow ass responses, oh. When I had to go to doc I need to go absent bc the waiting is like 3-6 hours, not including the travel. idk but my countrymen just choose an escape route even the gov't isnt that perfect, like Canada. They just appreciate whatever seems better, but not saying this as happening on your place is not that bad. We also had the immigrants not paying taxes. Better if ur white, or a rich Chinese businessman who can bribe.

Yeah, I have relatives abroad. my uncle and 2 aunts in UK and US. Only their sibling, w/c is my mom, left in homeland with us. My Grandmas siblings are in Canada. My uncle in UK sends money from my granddad's maintenance meds. It's almost impossible to find a Filo living in suburban that doesnt have a relative working abroad unfortunately

Haha, my upperclass classmate did and he's humble actually! Fortunatey. Noice to know you knew some info in history that connects to present! Countries that got independent from colonialism ended up having immature government. Well, same for Philippines and some African and South American countries. My country had been away from its freedom for 400 years and by 3 countries. Yeah like South America, but no cartels. In my province we had a big ass meth factory right close to the drug rehab xD people against drugs are getting shot, like policemen and politicians eradicating them. Good thoughts regarding the rich and hierarchy ...
